Dr. Md. Golam Mahboob, Director of the SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC), attended the inauguration of the SAARC-SAU Regional Centre for Precision Nutrition and Health on 9 October 2026 at South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India.
The event aimed to strengthen regional cooperation in precision nutrition, health research, innovation and capacity-building among SAARC Member States. The Centre is envisioned as a platform for promoting collaborative research, facilitating knowledge exchange and fostering institutional partnerships to improve nutrition and health outcomes across South Asia.
During the occasion, Dr. Md. Golam Mahboob handed over a commemorative memento from SAC to Prof. K. K. Aggarwal, President of South Asian University, as a gesture of goodwill and institutional collaboration.
The initiative represents an important step towards strengthening regional partnerships and advancing scientific cooperation for improved health and nutrition outcomes. SAC looks forward to fostering greater collaboration and knowledge-sharing among regional institutions to support sustainable development across the SAARC Member States.
