SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of its former Director, Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, who died on April 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr Razzaque was widely regarded as a visionary leader in regional agricultural development and food security. During his tenure at SAC, he played a key role in strengthening regional cooperation and advancing major agricultural initiatives across the SAARC region.

Colleagues described him as a committed professional whose leadership helped bridge policy and practice in the agricultural sector. His guidance and strategic foresight contributed significantly to the growth of the institution and inspired many researchers and professionals.

The SAC community has extended heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues, praying for strength and patience during this difficult time.
