The SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC) and Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) established a SAC book corner jointly at BAU Central Library Mymensingh.
The SAC book corner was jointly inaugurated by the honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury of Bangladesh Agricultural University and Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Director SAC on 29 February 2024. Around 200 books on agriculture and allied sciences were provided to BAU from the SAARC Agriculture Centre. The aim of the SAC book corner was to disseminate the knowledge and information on agricultural discipline among the students and faculty.
At the inaugural program, among others, Student Advisor, Professors, Librarian and Students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), and Senior Program Specialists of SAC were also present. BAU arranged a grand welcome by the honorable VC at BAU campus for SAC officials. Finally, SAC officials participated in an interacting meeting at its Library with the Vice Chancellor and other faculties of BAU.
